We’ll work on calming down skin redness with anti-inflammatory foods. In contrast to most ‘acne programmes’, we’ll be focussing on ADDING foods into your diet, considering deficiencies and supplements too. This is not about not eating pizza.

Hormone balancing

To prevent blocked pores and regulate oil production in your skin, we focus on specific foods to balance hormones. We’ll also analyse your home / work / life environment to minimise your exposure to toxins and hormone disrupting chemicals.

Gut protocol

To help reduce the size of painful spots, and to clear whiteheads, we will work on strengthening your immune system. We follow a gut protocol, as the majority of the immune system resides in the gut, to fight off bacterial infections from within.

Sleep & stress

Lastly, to ramp up the repair of damaged skin cells, we will balance your circadian rhythm to improve your sleep. Stress hormones and melatonin (the sleepy hormone) also have a knock on effect on other hormones, impacting skin sebum levels.

I’m Kyla Newcombe, a nutritionist and skin specialist. Since having kids, my skin hasn’t been perfectly clear, but I’ve learned how to balance my hormones (not with croissants)! My goal is to help you feel confident in your own skin too.

KNOWLEDGE

We will focus on a different nutrition or lifestyle topic each week to help clear acne. I will teach you the WHY, so you will want to make changes. I will guide you through with weekly emails and short videos under 15 minutes.

MOTIVATION

Each week you’ll be set small challenges focussing on the weekly topic. You can share meal photos with the group for feedback and to inspire each other. By the end of the 12 weeks, you’ll have 12 healthy habits in your daily routine.

SUPPORT

At the start of the programme, we will meet on a one-to-one video call to discuss anything personal to you. This could include your skincare regime and supplements. I can also answer any burning questions you have.

COMMUNITY

During your 12 week journey, you’ll be a part of our Clear Confidence community in a small Facebook group, surrounded by individuals working towards clearer skin. The group members are incredibly supportive.

My journey with skin health and nutrition began while hopelessly trying to help my younger sister suffering with eczema at a young age. I say hopelessly as I was only 13 at the time, back in the 90’s when it wasn’t as straightforward as googling the answers! From looking for mushrooms in museums which claimed to have the cure, to reading articles in newspapers about the benefits of different oils, I would read up on what I could.

Fast forward to now, and I have spent the last 15 years helping thousands of people to overcome skin issues thought to be there for a lifetime. Acne is the condition which in my experience responds best with diet, and I have also suffered with acne after having kids, so I understand, and i’m here to help you transform your skin.
